How To Floss Your Teeth
Flossing is probably the most underused dental
cleaning method. It is one of the most important however. Flossing cleans
places that your toothbrush and mouthwash can not begin to reach. It
cleans out the plaque that accumulates between your teeth and under your
gum line. Below we have described the basic flossing procedure.
Flossing
Begin by cutting off 18 to 20 inches of floss.
Wrap the floss around your middle fingers and use your index fingers to
grasp and manipulate the floss. Carefully slide the dental floss in
between your teeth all the way down to the gumline. Repeat for all of your
teeth.
Types of Floss
Their are many different types of dental floss
for you to choose from. For example, you can get waxed or unwaxed floss.
Waxed floss will glide easier between your teeth. You can also get
flavored (usually cinnamon) or unflavored floss. You can also get
dental floss that is preloaded onto plastic holders.

The benefits of flossing are numerous. They
include, reduced cavities, less risk of gum disease, fresher breath and it
can polish your teeth. |
