Dentist Tips
Don't forget your tongue when you brush your
teeth. Your tongue holds a large amount of bacteria which causes bad
breath.
It is never normal for your gums to bleed. If
your gums bleed after brushing or flossing, you should have your
dentist check for periodontal disease.
Don't chew on hard foods such as ice or jaw
breakers. You can easily crack a tooth doing so.
Be sure to brush your teeth twice a day and
floss once a day. Use a fluoride toothpaste and a fluoride mouth rinse.
Porcelain Veneers can give you an entirely new
look. They can give you a bright smile while closing up gaps between your
teeth and making your teeth seem straighter.
Replace your toothbrush at least every 3
months.
Be careful when using over the counter tooth
whitening products. They can be harsh and may damage your teeth over time.
If you can't brush your teeth immediately
after a meal, rinse your mouth out with water. Eating an apple or chewing
some sugar free gum after a meal can also effectively clean your teeth.
